Kern Raceway to host The American 250 with racing and fireworks on July 4

MotorsportsKevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway will celebrate America’s 250th birthday on July 4 with The American 250 event. The festivities will feature NASCAR Limited Late Models competing for a $5,000 prize, NASCAR Spec Racers, and a Drag-A-Boat demolition race. A large fireworks show will conclude the evening. Kern Raceway aims to attract racing fans and is partnering with local companies to invite 500 community members from Maricopa, Taft, and Buttonwillow for free admission. Gates will open at 4 p.m. with main racing events starting at 7 p.m.
