Kevin Jackson, a graduate of Lansing Eastern High School, is celebrated as one of Greater Lansing's best athletes. He won a gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona and achieved notable success in the World Championships. His earlier career included being a two-time state champion and a four-time NCAA All-American at LSU and Iowa State. Jackson remains active in the sport as an assistant coach at Michigan.
