Kevin Stefanski praises injured quarterback Michael Penix Jr. as he rehabs

Atlanta Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski has expressed admiration for quarterback Michael Penix Jr., selected eighth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. Although Penix is currently unable to practice due to a partially torn ACL, Stefanski notes the strong relationship they have developed. In his previous season, Penix started nine games and completed over 60% of his passes for 1,982 yards and nine touchdowns. Once healthy, he is expected to compete for the starting position against Tua Tagovailoa, with a talented supporting cast including wide receiver Drake London and running back Bijan Robinson.
