Khyren Haywood commits to Texas Tech football for 2027 class

Denton Guyer defensive tackle Khyren Haywood has committed to Texas Tech football. The 6-foot-1, 265-pound prospect was a Class 6A third-team all-state selection in 2025 and recorded 66 tackles, including 28 tackles for loss and 11 sacks last season. Haywood is the fifth defensive lineman in the Red Raiders’ 2027 recruiting class, which now stands at 10 commitments. His other noted scholarship offers include Florida State, LSU, and Texas A&M.
