Kim Caldwell establishes new standards for Lady Vols basketball

Summary

At the SEC Basketball Tipoff on October 13, Tennessee Lady Vols coach Kim Caldwell emphasized her drive to reshape the program's culture. After a challenging 2025-26 season, Caldwell has prioritized selflessness and hard work among her newly assembled roster of 15 players. She noted the competitive spirit in practice, with players arriving early to work on skills. Caldwell aims for her team to be the hardest working squad, focusing on effort plays. With defensively undersized frontcourt, Caldwell stresses the importance of team defense in the SEC and has observed an encouraging willingness from her players to adapt to various roles for the team's success.
