Kim Clijsters reacts to Ben Shelton hiring Juan Carlos Ferrero as coach

Kim Clijsters expressed surprise at Ben Shelton's decision to hire Juan Carlos Ferrero as his coach. Ferrero, who previously worked with Carlos Alcaraz, is making a return to coaching after a hiatus. Clijsters noted the potential benefits of having Ferrero's disciplined approach complementing Shelton's existing relationship with his father, Bryan Shelton. Shelton recently advanced to the second round of the Paris Masters after defeating Cameron Norrie. He will next face Arthur Rinderknech, who previously defeated him in their only prior meeting.
