K.J. Sauer commits to University of Minnesota-Duluth after NHL Draft

K.J. Sauer, a recent draft pick by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2026 NHL Draft, announced his commitment to the University of Minnesota-Duluth. The 18-year-old power forward, who played at Andover High in Minnesota and finished the 2025-26 season with the USHL Lincoln Stars, will first spend time with the WHL Edmonton Oil Kings before joining the college ranks for the 2027-28 season. Sauer follows several fellow Flyers prospects who have chosen the college path, including recent picks Jack Nesbitt and Matthew Gard.
