Knicks consider Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu as free agent option

Summary

The New York Knicks are exploring free agent options to address the loss of Ariel Hukporti and missed opportunities with Jonas Valanciunas and Moussa Cisse. Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu, a standout from the Summer League and former player for the Mavericks, is under consideration. With averages of 6.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game during the Summer League, Akobundu-Ehiogu could provide the Knicks with needed depth at center. His previous experience in European leagues, particularly with Manresa in Spain, adds to his profile. The Knicks might offer a two-way deal or training camp invite to attract him.
