Knicks evaluate Moussa Cisse's status with Mavericks before deadline

The New York Knicks are monitoring the situation of center Moussa Cisse with the Dallas Mavericks ahead of a critical contract deadline. Cisse's first-year salary is partially guaranteed until October 1, which creates potential for his availability after Dallas faces salary cap constraints. The Knicks previously attempted to sign Cisse, who averaged 4.5 points and 5.7 rebounds last season. Current center options for the Knicks involve players like Andre Drummond, James Wiseman, and Drew Eubanks, who are participating in a training camp competition for center roles.
