Knicks face staff departures as Daniel Brady joins Minnesota staff

The New York Knicks continue to see turnover in their coaching and development staff following their 2026 championship season. Daniel Brady, a former assistant under Tom Thibodeau, is joining the Minnesota Timberwolves coaching staff led by Chris Finch. Brady spent the previous year in the G League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers after serving three seasons in New York. His departure follows the exits of several other personnel, including assistant coach Jordan Brink, who joined the Chicago Bulls, and senior vice president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas. Assistant coach Carson Shanks has also left the organization. As of September 4, 2026, the Knicks have not announced formal replacements for these departed staff members. The Minnesota front office is currently restructuring its coaching staff while integrating new additions LaMelo Ball and Jonathan Kuminga into a rotation centered around Anthony Edwards.
