Knicks set parade date after winning first NBA title since 1973

The New York Knicks will celebrate their NBA Finals victory with a parade in Manhattan on Thursday, June 18, after winning their first championship in 53 years. Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced the parade route will follow the "Canyon of Heroes" on Broadway, culminating at City Hall. The parade marks the team's first in history, following their previous titles in 1970 and 1973 without such an event. The Knicks secured the championship with a dramatic 16-point comeback victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 of the Finals. The celebration will include a ceremony at City Hall where the team will receive keys to the city.
