Knicks show interest in LeBron James during NBA free agency

Summary

The New York Knicks are reportedly interested in signing LeBron James in NBA free agency. This follows James informing the Los Angeles Lakers of his intention to play elsewhere, as teams compete for the future Hall of Famer. NBA insider Jake Fischer revealed the Knicks' interest during a Bleacher Report live stream, highlighting the possibility of James joining the defending champions. While New York has limited cap space without Mitchell Robinson, they could offer James a $6 million taxpayer mid-level exception if he takes a pay cut. James could fill a key role alongside Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, potentially creating a formidable lineup.
