Knicks struggle in loss to Raptors; Wiseman shows promise

The New York Knicks suffered a significant 148-98 loss to the Toronto Raptors on October 13, 2026. James Wiseman achieved 18 points and 10 rebounds, demonstrating contributions as a reserve center despite the team's overall poor performance. Key players, including Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, were rested, while Toronto fielded a regular lineup. Wiseman's audition for a potential roster spot highlights the need for more evaluations before the regular season begins. A rematch is scheduled for October 15 at Madison Square Garden, allowing the Knicks another opportunity to assess Wiseman alongside established players.
