According to comments made on the Ariel Helwani Show, the pair cited concerns over unfair compensation relative to their performance value as the primary factor in their exit. Kofi indicated that a lack of emphasis on the tag team division within WWE also influenced their decision to transition to AEW. The performers stated that they chose the new promotion to participate in a more active tag team.
