Kris Humphries expands hot chicken restaurant franchise to 30 stores in Minnesota

Kris Humphries is expanding his franchise of Dave’s Hot Chicken to as many as 30 locations throughout Minnesota. This expansion follows the initial agreement in April 2022, which included 10 locations in the Twin Cities area. Humphries opened the first Minnesota restaurant in Minnetonka in June 2023 and has continued to add locations, including a Rochester outlet in June 2025. Humphries, who retired from the NBA in 2019, has built a restaurant business focusing on franchises, leveraging his investment experience gained during his playing career.
