Kris Srikkanth criticizes selection of Suryansh Shedge for India

Summary

Kris Srikkanth has publicly criticized the selection of all-rounder Suryansh Shedge for India following a disappointing 4-0 series loss to England. Srikkanth alleges that Shedge's inclusion is due to connections with the Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings, rather than performance. He pointed to Shedge's subpar showing in the fifth T20I, where he scored seven runs and conceded 39 runs in three overs. Srikkanth also questioned the selection panel's criteria, suggesting players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rajat Patidar deserve opportunities instead. The scrutiny comes amid concerns about India's slipping ranking and the team's overall performance during the tour.
