KU football evaluates injury statuses ahead of Arizona State matchup

Kansas football is assessing the availability of key players ahead of their game against Arizona State on Saturday. Quarterback Cole Ballard, who suffered an injury during the last game against Missouri, did not practice, raising concerns about his status. Head coach Lance Leipold expressed hope that Ballard might be able to play, but could not confirm. Redshirt senior linebacker Bam Crouch, who missed the Missouri game, participated in some practice, while the statuses of redshirt sophomore tight end Carson Bruhn and redshirt senior wide receiver Cam Pickett remain uncertain. The Jayhawks could also turn to redshirt junior quarterback Chase Jenkins if needed.
