Kurt Herd manages Dominica football team, only Scot on national level

Kurt Herd has been appointed as the manager of Dominica's national football team, making him the only Scottish coach currently managing an international men's side. Having taken up the role permanently in August, Herd, 34, faces the challenge of developing a team that ranks 182nd in the world, mainly made up of amateur players. He fulfills multiple roles, including analyst and nutritionist, while recruiting players and improving team discipline and performance through techniques such as yoga. With changes to recruitment regulations pending in January, Herd aims to incorporate players with Dominican heritage to strengthen the squad ahead of the Concacaf Nations League B this autumn.
