Nick Kurtz and Brent Rooker hit home runs, and Gage Jump pitched 6 1/3 scoreless innings for the Athletics in their 5-0 win over the Astros on Sunday. Kurtz's 12th home run of the season gave Oakland a 2-0 lead, followed by an RBI double from Rooker. Zack Gelof scored on a fielding error in the fourth and Rooker's solo home run capped the scoring in the fifth. The Astros were limited to four hits and suffered their fifth shutout loss this season.
