Kwame Evans Jr. prepares for his first season with Villanova basketball

Villanova added forward Kwame Evans Jr. to the roster this past spring following his tenure at Oregon. The 6-foot-10 player is expected to play both power forward and center positions for coach Kevin Willard as part of a significant team overhaul. Evans Jr. recorded 13.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game as a junior, while also contributing 1.3 blocks. His ability to handle the ball and face up against defenders provides flexibility for the Villanova frontcourt alongside teammates Devin Royal, Luigi Suigo, and Matt Hodge. While the team possesses greater depth than in previous seasons, staff expect Evans Jr. to remain a primary scoring option. He enters the upcoming campaign as a key contributor in Villanova's rotation.
