The couple's investment is valued at $3.9 billion, following approval from the league and its owners on August 17. Jones and Feliciano stated their commitment to bringing a World Series championship to San Diego and enhancing the organization’s presence in the community. They own nearly a 45% stake in the team through their personal investment. An official welcome was extended to them on August 24, signaling the start of their stewardship of the Padres.
