Kyle Karros placed on concussion injured list, Adael Amador recalled

The Colorado Rockies announced that third baseman Kyle Karros has been placed on the 7-day concussion injured list following a head injury sustained during a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on August 11, 2026. Karros collided with shortstop Ezequiel Tovar while attempting to field a ground ball in the sixth inning. He has been a key player for the Rockies, hitting.265 with 10 home runs this season. In a roster move, infielder Adael Amador has been recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque, where he is batting.261 with 11 home runs this season. Additionally, right-handed reliever Jeff Criswell has been activated from the injured list and optioned to Triple-A.
