Kyle Shanahan adjusts to 49ers international schedule for Rams game in Australia

The San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan expressed disappointment over the team losing a home game in Los Angeles for their international matchup against the Los Angeles Rams in Australia. While acknowledging the scheduling impact, Shanahan noted that the Week 1 timing allows for adequate preparation compared to adjusting during the season. The coach emphasized the significance of the 17-game schedule and the competitive edge his team typically holds at SoFi Stadium, where fans frequently travel in large numbers. San Francisco holds eight home games and nine road contests this season, with the Australia trip designated as one of the road appearances. The 49ers face the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium later in December. Kickoff is scheduled for Friday morning local time in Australia, with the game broadcast on Netflix at 5:35 p.m. Pacific time on Thursday.
