Kyle Snyder has earned his place on the U.S. senior wrestling team by winning a best-of-three wrestle-off against James Buchanan at the 2026 Final X Trials. After losing the second match, Snyder rebounded to win the decisive match 9-3. This marks his 12th consecutive selection for the U.S. World Championship team, which will compete in Astana, Kazakhstan, from October 24 to November 1. Snyder will compete in the 97 kg category and is expected to face strong competition, including Iranian champion Hassan Yazdani.
