Kyle Trask has signed with the Carolina Panthers, a move prompted by Haynes King's hamstring injury. Trask, the former second-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, had been released by Tampa Bay in August 2025 after serving as a backup for four seasons. The Panthers, who are looking to bolster their quarterback depth, worked him out last month, and he is expected to compete for a backup role.
