Kyler Murray faces scrutiny regarding his work habits with Minnesota Vikings

Concerns regarding Kyler Murray’s work ethic have resurfaced following his appointment as the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. Mike Florio reported on PFT Live that sources indicate Murray arrives for team duties exactly on time and departs immediately when the period concludes. This criticism echoes previous narratives from his tenure with the Arizona Cardinals, who famously included an independent study clause in his 2022 contract. While Murray has demonstrated development in practice and built a rapport with Justin Jefferson since being named the starter on August 12, questions remain regarding his commitment to extended preparation. Former NFL player Chris Simms emphasized that starting quarterbacks are expected to be the hardest-working individuals within a locker room. The Minnesota Vikings begin their regular season next week, providing the team and their new starter an opportunity to address these concerns during the opening slate of games.
