Kyler Murray named dark horse MVP candidate for Vikings in 2026

Kyler Murray is emerging as a potential MVP candidate for the Minnesota Vikings in 2026 amidst an ongoing quarterback competition. NFL Media's Dan Parr included Murray in a list of early "dark horse" candidates, praising the team's strong supporting cast, including top wide receiver Justin Jefferson. With coaching from Kevin O'Connell, who successfully helped Sam Darnold in 2024, expectations are high for Murray's performance this season. The Vikings are striving for an impactful start, hoping to capitalize on their solid roster, particularly if key players like Jordan Addison and Jauan Jennings remain healthy.
