Kylie Neira qualifies for U20 Track and Field World Championships

Kylie Neira, a freshman from Florida International, has qualified for the U20 World Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Oregon. She placed second in the women’s pole vault at the USA Track and Field Under-20 Outdoor Championships on June 18, clearing a height of 4.25 meters. This performance improved her personal best of 4.22 meters set in March, earning her a trip back to Hayward Field, where the championships will take place from August 5. Neira has been a standout in her sport, previously winning state titles in 2023 and 2024. Tim Beauchamp, also competing for FIU, finished sixth in the discus throw with a throw of 57.49 meters. Brison Sullivan placed sixth in the javelin with a distance of 61.31 meters.
