LA Kings considering Nikita Kucherov pursuit amid free agency plans

The LA Kings are reportedly preparing to pursue Nikita Kucherov during free agency next summer. Insider Pierre LeBrun notes that the Kings have already discussed Kucherov’s potential fit within their roster. With significant cap space available, the Kings aim to enhance their offense, particularly looking to pair Kucherov with Artemi Panarin. Additionally, the move would address future competitiveness as Anze Kopitar’s tenure approaches its end. The challenge lies in the financial commitment required, as Kucherov is seeking a contract of at least $20 million annually, putting the Kings in a position to balance their roster.
