La Salle takes down Chariho in softball semifinal match

La Salle secured a 7-3 victory over Chariho in the Division I softball winner’s bracket final at Rhode Island College on June 1. Following a 40-minute rain delay, Sami Sell hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning, putting La Salle ahead after facing an early deficit. Nikki Pallotta and Elle Kershaw also contributed with home runs as the Rams advanced to their fourth consecutive state title round. Chariho will face the North Kingstown-Prout survivor in an elimination game this week, needing three consecutive victories to claim the championship.
