LaFleurs meet as Packers host Cardinals in joint practice

The LaFleur family turned up to the joint practice between the Cardinals and Packers on Wednesday.

Divided loyalties meant a divided wardrobe for the parents of Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur and Arizona Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur as their teams held a joint practice Wednesday. Denny and Kristi LaFleur were just happy this first head coaching matchup between the two brothers doesn’t count in the standings. The Packers and Cardinals also meet in an exhibition game Friday at Lambeau Field.

Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur had his tongue firmly planted in cheek as he discussed how he would make sure his players avoid fights in their joint practice with the Arizona Cardinals. Wednesday’s joint practice at Green Bay will mark the first time the LaFleur brothers have coached against each other since Mike LaFleur was hired as the Cardinals’ coach. Matt LaFleur was asked about his parents’ potential divided loyalties this week.

Matt LaFleur joked that his younger brother and first-year head coach with Arizona was 'quick to criticize' some of his decisions, but said it's been 'good' working with him.
