Lakers express interest in Rockets forward Tari Eason

Summary

The Los Angeles Lakers are considering Tari Eason of the Houston Rockets as a potential free agent target. With LeBron James' future uncertain, the Lakers have been evaluating players to complement star guard Luka Doncic. Eason, a former LSU standout, had a solid showing in the 2026 NBA playoffs against the Lakers, averaging 10.5 points and 6.3 rebounds this past season. The Lakers' interest hinges on their contract decisions regarding Austin Reaves and LeBron James. Other free agent targets include Peyton Watson, Jalen Duren, and Walker Kessler.
