Lakers eye reunion with Kevin Love to support LeBron James

Summary

The Los Angeles Lakers may target Kevin Love in free agency as a potential reunion with his former teammate LeBron James. Insider Marc Spears reported on ESPN’s NBA Today that discussions around James re-signing with the Lakers are likely, and Love, currently an unrestricted free agent, could be a candidate to join. Love, 37, has seen declining playing time in recent seasons, averaging 15.5 minutes per game with the Miami Heat and Utah Jazz. The Lakers are aiming to build a younger, more athletic roster to compete effectively next season, raising questions about the fit of Love on the current team. No official decisions have been made as the Lakers explore their options for the upcoming season.
