The Los Angeles Lakers have signed guard Matisse Thybulle, bringing their roster to 16 players, exceeding the regular-season limit. To comply, the team must trade or waive at least one player before opening night. ESPN's Dave McMenamin highlighted Jarred Vanderbilt, Dalton Knecht, and Jaden Hardy as potential trade candidates. Vanderbilt's substantial contract has made him challenging to move, while Knecht's performance has declined. With a crowded backcourt, Hardy's salary could facilitate another trade, allowing the Lakers to optimize roster space for potential acquisitions, including Jonathan Kuminga.
