Lakers fall to Warriors in summer league semifinal

The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Golden State Warriors 92-88 in the NBA summer league semifinal on Saturday. Despite making a late run in the fourth quarter, the Lakers struggled from beyond the arc, shooting only 6-of-27 on 3-point attempts. With the score at 89-86 in the closing seconds, Chris Mañon was fouled while attempting a 3-pointer but managed to sink just one of his three free throw attempts. Adou Thiero led the Lakers with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while rookie Cameron Carr contributed 17 points despite a slow start. The Lakers had previously won all four of their summer league games but could not secure a championship berth with this defeat.
