Lakers pitch trade to Mavericks for ex-Duke center Dereck Lively
Summary

The Los Angeles Lakers have proposed a trade to the Dallas Mavericks involving two first-round picks for Dereck Lively, a former Duke standout. Lakers insider Jovan Buha highlighted that Lively, who averaged 2.4 blocks per game in college, has potential value as a shot-blocker and above-the-rim finisher. While Lively missed significant time last season due to injury, his past chemistry with Luka Doncic makes him an intriguing target. Sources suggest that Daniel Gafford may be a more realistic option, but Lively remains a reasonable pursuit for the Lakers if the price is right.
