Lakers release official franchise history book with notable contributors

The Los Angeles Lakers have launched an official history book titled "Lakers: An Official History of the Purple & Gold." Published in collaboration with TASCHEN, the book spans 528 pages and features contributions from legends such as Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, and LeBron James. It includes essays, large color photos, and illustrations covering the team's history from its early years in Minneapolis to its modern-day achievements. The book is currently available through the Lakers' online store and will be more widely available through other retailers on October 1. A foreword is written by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Phil Jackson contributed the afterword.
