Lan Larison and Mitch Wishnowsky return to Patriots practice squad

The New England Patriots returned Lan Larison and Mitch Wishnowsky to the practice squad on Thursday following the season opener. Both players served as standard elevations during the 13-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field. Larison, a running back making his NFL debut, recorded nine yards on two catches and averaged 24.5 yards on kickoff returns. Wishnowsky handled punting and holding duties, averaging 44.3 yards per punt with no touchbacks across four attempts. The Patriots have two standard call-ups remaining for each player before an active roster move becomes necessary. New England next plays the Pittsburgh Steelers in the home opener at Gillette Stadium on September 20.
