Lancaster and Fairfield Union golf and soccer teams record area results

High school golf and soccer squads across the area completed recent competitions. The Lancaster Gales golf team posted a season-low 322 at Hocking Hills Golf Course, following several tournament appearances including a 9th-place finish at the Cumberland Classic. Fairfield Union golfers secured a 1st-place finish in a quad match at Hocking Hills with a score of 308, led by Caden Featheroff. In soccer, the Fairfield Union Falcons secured a 10-0 victory over Logan Elm in Mid-State League-Buckeye Division play, with Maddi Mitchell netting three goals. On the volleyball court, Bloom-Carroll defeated Amanda-Clearcreek in three sets, highlighted by Renee Smith reaching 1,000 career assists. In tennis, Lancaster split a pair of matches, falling 3-2 to Marysville before responding with a 3-2 win against Teays Valley.
