Lancaster football demonstrates promise in first scrimmage against Cougars and New Albany

Lancaster football competed in its first scrimmage of the season on August 7 in Columbus. The team faced the Westland Cougars and New Albany, showcasing new offensive and defensive systems under first-year coach Jeremy McKinney. Senior linebacker Collin Thomas noted the value in competing against another team, while quarterback Jahmeir Gordon scored two touchdowns during the scrimmage. Despite arriving late, Lancaster adapted well, and McKinney emphasized the importance of analyzing film for improvement. The team will have a final scrimmage on August 13 before opening the regular season against Hilliard Darby on August 21.
