Lance Sobaski secures 5K win ahead of USATF Championships

Lance Sobaski won the 5-kilometer race at the Clive Running Festival on July 18, clocking in at 14:47. The recent Wartburg College graduate is the school record holder in the 3,000 steeplechase and prepared for the upcoming USATF Outdoor National Championships at Icahn Stadium in New York. Austin O'Brien finished second with a time of 15:03, followed by Blake Whalen in third at 15:13. Sobaski qualified for the championships, set to compete in the steeplechase prelims on July 23.
