Lando Norris secured pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix, finishing his qualifying run with a 1m31.824s lap at the new Madring circuit. The McLaren driver surpassed the time set by Kimi Antonelli, who had briefly held the top spot after a 1m31.835s effort.
