Lando Norris retires from Monaco GP due to mechanical issues

Lando Norris failed to finish the Monaco Grand Prix on June 7, 2026, due to a mechanical failure. After being called into the pits during the race, Norris added another retirement to a troubling season for McLaren, which has seen him exit three of six races early. Previously, he did not finish in Canada because of a gearbox issue and did not start in China due to technical problems. Despite these setbacks, Norris expressed frustration yet remained optimistic about the team's efforts to resolve the issues. He currently sits fifth in the driver’s standings, trailing the championship leader by 73 points.
