Lane Johnson addresses his future as he prepares for potential final NFL season

Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson confirmed that he is approaching his final season in the NFL during a radio appearance on 94WIP Sports Radio. The 36-year-old veteran previously contemplated retirement following a 2025 campaign in which he played only 10 games due to a Lisfranc injury. Johnson is back to anchor the Eagles' right tackle position as the team enters the season with Super Bowl aspirations. He stated he is focused on emptying the tank during his final year rather than dwelling on the upcoming career transition. The Eagles open their season against the Washington Commanders on September 13. Johnson maintains that while he is aware of the finite nature of his professional career, he remains committed to contributing to the team for the duration of the current campaign.
