Lane Kiffin recounts sideline interaction with former opponent Mansoor Delane

LSU head coach Lane Kiffin recently discussed a past interaction with Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Mansoor Delane that took place during a college game. While coaching at Ole Miss, Kiffin encountered Delane, who was then playing for LSU. Kiffin told Delane during the first series of the game that the Ole Miss offense would avoid throwing in his direction for the remainder of the contest. The coach followed through on that remark, choosing not to target Delane throughout the rest of the game. Kiffin currently leads the LSU program and noted that he now coaches Faheem Delane, the brother of the Chiefs rookie. The comments were made during an interview with Ed Easton Jr. as part of a promotional campaign for Dr Pepper.
