Las Vegas Raiders adjust roster following initial 53-man team reveal

The Las Vegas Raiders continue to reshape their roster following the initial 53-man squad announcement on Sunday. Using their top waiver wire priority, the team acquired cornerback Darrell Luter Jr. from the San Francisco 49ers while waiving cornerback Decamerion Richardson. General manager John Spytek also confirmed that running back Ashton Jeanty remains on the active roster rather than injured reserve, though his availability for the Week One matchup against the Miami Dolphins remains uncertain due to an ankle injury. Additionally, the team added 16 players to the practice squad, including Cian Slone, Brandon Cleveland, Roman Hemby, and Cody White. The Raiders also placed wide receiver Dont’e Thornton Jr. on injured reserve and re-signed linebacker Segun Olubi to the active roster to provide depth.
