Seattle Reign FC has appointed club legend Lauren Barnes as interim assistant coach for the remainder of the 2026 NWSL season. Barnes, the most experienced player in NWSL history, returns to support head coach Laura Harvey ahead of the upcoming match against Bay FC on Saturday. Having retired after the 2025 season, Barnes holds a U.S. Soccer Federation B License and will assist with training, match preparation, and player development. Her extensive experience at the club will be pivotal in maintaining the standards and culture that she helped establish over her 13 seasons as a player.
