Lazio in talks with Danilho Doekhi as free agent

Lazio is negotiating with defender Danilho Doekhi, who is available after his contract with Union Berlin expired on June 30. The club seeks to strengthen its defense following the arrivals of coach Gennaro Gattuso and the departures of Alessio Romagnoli and Mario Gila. Other clubs, including Aston Villa and Borussia Dortmund, showed interest earlier this summer, but Lazio is working to secure Doekhi as their next signing. The 28-year-old Dutch center-back previously played for Vitesse before joining Union Berlin in 2022.
