Lazio targets Benfica striker Franjo Ivanovic for summer move

Summary

Lazio is reportedly pursuing Franjo Ivanovic from Benfica as part of their summer recruitment drive. The club seeks to bolster their attacking options after scoring just 41 goals in 38 Serie A matches last season. Despite interest in other strikers like Santiago Gimenez and Armando Broja, Lazio has not made progress in those negotiations. Recent reports indicate they are working on an initial loan agreement for Ivanovic, who is open to leaving Benfica in search of guaranteed playing time. Ivanovic has experience in both the Croatian and Belgian leagues, recently transferring to Benfica in 2025 after strong performances.
