LeBron James free agency rumors suggest Warriors, Cavaliers losing ground

New reports indicate that the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers are losing traction in their pursuit of LeBron James this month. Despite initial speculation about James potentially joining the Warriors, recent insights suggest he is favoring Eastern Conference teams more seriously, particularly the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers. Cavaliers were seen as favorites but have now reportedly fallen behind. An update from ESPN's Brian Windhorst hints at a 'done deal' elsewhere, adding to speculation about James's next move. The situation remains fluid as teams prepare for the 2026-27 season.
